Ned Wright just relaunched a new site filled with a thoughtful and charismatic selection of projects. His well worded and thorough presentation match his ability to take his work one step further than imagined. It’s his attention to detail and extremely sharp use of typography and grids that keep me all tingly on the inside.

If you’re ever in Minneapolis, make sure to look him up — one of the most chill, humble guys I’ve ever met. If you’re afraid of MPLS, you can follow him on Twitter or soak up some of his choice inspiration on his blog.

Office is another great example of San Francisco creativity and inspiration. Small studio, big client list; including projects with Target, MTV, Fanta, Walt Disney, 826 Valencia (pictured above), Coca Cola, Hasbro and the list keeps goin…

After more than a year after the remodel hiatus and hours and hours of hard work from the FE team, the Fifth Element store in Minneapolis is finally complete! I worked on this project from late 2008 into the mid 2009, drafting concepts for the store interior redesign, creating fixtures, racks, shelves, choosing materials & finishes and designing the sign for the facade… I must admit, it’s pretty exciting to see it all get wrapped up and finish so well.

Note: The FE site — I designed while at Sevnthsin — just went live a week or so ago as well. Full package complete.

The Creators Project is an information network focused on creativity and culture around the world. The site houses hundreds of short documentary style videos and interviews with some really talented creative people. I’ve been super impressed with the handful of videos I’ve already watched in both, production quality and content.

The Fool’s Gold video stuck out to me the most so far… I’ve been pretty impressed with their approach and catalog. It’s nice to see a little bit of that in the making and hear their take on their success thus far.

Arecraft is a super sharp body of work from Vancouver’s Eli Horn. His Leroy Smith stuff is what initially caught my eye, being that, I think it’s hilarious and super clever; I had to find out who a hand in its creation. I was excited to see that the rest of his site was crammed with a refreshing variety of refined and well executed projects that match the quality and character of “Leroy Smith”.

I recently had the pleasure of working with the guys at Soul Tools – a Minneapolis based entertainment group working primarily in events and promotion – to build them a brand new online experience. The project was really focused on expanding their online presence and creating a tool that would help them manage events, share important information on their artists and releases as well as lay the foundation for a revenue channel.

A lot of fun tools were implemented in order to provide them with some additional control/functionality, which ultimately gave me an opportunity to expand and try some new things out. Either way… head over and check it out for yourself and let me know what you think.

Growing up on a diet of graffiti, hip hop, punk rock and mind altering experiences, Mike Scarano has found nourishment in many of the vices that most people shy away from. A Boulder/Denver native, Mike has been raised in design shops around town while producing waves of sound though his drums for bands such as Pena. Hella Knives, the artists first solo show, offers a chance for the unassuming public to peek into the intricate and humorous mind of one of Denver most talented artists. Having had the opportunity to look through his black books off and on for the past few years, I can honestly say that I have been anxiously waiting for this day to come. Mike will be showing 14 new paintings and 1 giant illustration, 5′x9′ on canvas… he’ll also have a few of his ‘Pee Wee’ letterpressed posters from last years ARTCRANK on hand. DJ Latenight Weeknight will be seducing ear drums and filling the space with good vibes throughout the eve. Despite there being 2 opening receptions at KAZE Gallery for the show, I strongly suggest running through early on the first night as the wall will be riddled with red dots come July 9th.

It seems like it was just yesterday when I first came across the whimsical selection of goodness that is TheWorkSteady.com. Well, it turns out it’s been much longer than that and Colin’s work has only continued to evolve and grow, his list of clients has only gotten more and more wondrous and he’s become one of our favorite Minneapolis homies.

The site refresh/redesign is stuffed with great work for Nike, Beautiful Decay, Colt45, Kia, Scion and more… with plenty of sneaky goodness in the works for generations to come. Jump over and take a peek.

Simple, iconic illustrations, primary colors and a lot of wood. These are only couple things that make me keep clicking around Pen Pencil Stencil.

Mark Giglio is another great example of the ever expanding talent pool in the Bay Area.
