I recently ran across this piece while cruising around on FPO… and felt compelled to re-post and share for a few reasons. First off, this piece is fucking solid… all the way around… from concept to execution… flawless. Secondly, after a double take, I realized the work was created by Barnhart one of Denver’s oldest advertising agencies via local designer Jim Hargreaves. ‘The Welcoming Guide’ was created to seduce the pants off potential client ‘Larkburger’ was produced using recycled materials: fast-food bags, newspaper, sandwich wrappers, various junk mail, and printed in-house on Barnhart’s laser printer… a DIY effort through and through.

I think this is a grand example of work aimed at grabbing a potential clients interest without whoring yourself out by doing spec work. It’s honest, creative, and well-executed… A tip of the hat, and slap of the skins are in order for all those responsible for helping bring this piece to life.
