I have been thinking a little bit about keeping people hip on some of the music I’ve been listening to or I feel is influential to me. Sort of the whole idea of: “Listening To,” “Reading,” or “Watching.” A section dedicated to things that are influencing me or I think might be worth checking out. The featured artist today is Beans. Beans is an unconventionally charismatic MC out of NYC doing his best to keep it fresh. He ran with Antipop Consortium for a bit and is now releasing some super fantastic and really strong solo work. I could go on and on about his effort and his style but I’ll let you all be the judge of that… I believe it’s his 5th full length solo album release, it’s entitled “Thorns.” He might not be out here in Denver and he might not be a designer, but I still think that he’s doin’ some amazing shit and deserves to be recognized and commended for it. So check him out and give his work a listen.
